The Sequoyah State Park Lodge is Oklahoma’s most extensive state park lodging, boasting 104 rooms and 45 cottages. The property houses many meeting rooms, perfect for conferences and group functions. In addition, guests can indulge in Wi-Fi facilities provided in the lodge lobby, media room, and meeting spaces. Other lodging amenities include a bunkhouse with a great room and kitchen facilities. Guests can bring their pets, which are allowed in select cottages, for a small fee. However, the Lodge has a no-pet policy.
The Lodge features an exquisite zero-entry swimming pool and children’s splash pad, ideal for a refreshing summer break. Alternatively, guests can relax on the sun-kissed lakeside beach. Please note that the lodge pool is exclusively for lodge guests and cabins. Visitors can partake in water activities by bringing their boat or booking a pontoon from Paradise Cove Marina. For a wholesome family experience, the tennis court, recreation room, horseshoe pits, basketball court, and playgrounds offer ample entertainment opportunities. Locally sourced firewood is available at three different automated kiosks throughout the park, allowing guests to contribute towards protecting the forest from invasive insects and diseases.
Sequoyah State Park provides numerous camping facilities, including RV and tent camping options. Tent camping is available at the Creek, Choctaw, and Paradise Cove areas. The RV camping area offers full hook-ups at the Choctaw and Seminole campgrounds, while the Cherokee campground only provides water and electric service. All reservations must be made online, with check-in starting from 5 pm and check-out by 2 pm. Additional facilities include picnic pavilions and lighted boat ramps. For groups, the Sequoyah Group Camp boasts a dining hall with a full kitchen and ten A-frame cabins that can accommodate up to 98 people.
The Sequoyah Riding Stables offer trail rides or hayrides on the park’s wooded and open trails for the more adventurous souls. Visitors can also bring their group to Cowboy Camp at the stables.
The Three Forks Nature Center provides interpretive displays on native flora and fauna. At the Nature Center, guests of all ages can enjoy native wildlife through the ambassador animal program. Nature center staff offer an insight into the unique features of the ecoregion.
Golfing enthusiasts can head to the Sequoyah State Park Golf Course, featuring a nine-hole course with ultra dwarf Bermuda grass greens, tees, fairways, well-placed sand bunkers, and stunning lake views. The facilities include a driving range, a pro shop with a cart, a club rental, snacks, drinks, and a gift shop. Visitors can book a tee time online through the booking link provided. Sequoyah’s course is one of the finest in the state to offer FlingGolf as an option for course play.
Paradise Cove Marina is a full-service marina that offers boat rentals, boat sales, a loading dock, a gas dock, slip rental, paddle boats, personal watercraft, storage, bait and tackle supplies, and more.
